David leads both the Institute’s Research and Information, and Learning and Development divisions. He is responsible for thought-leadership, policy development and external affairs. He trained originally as a lawyer but has subsequently acquired over 25 years experience in marketing roles to director level. Additionally, he has significant expert-level experience in learning and development and performance management. David is a qualified executive coach focusing on working with marketers at transition points in their working lives. Prior to his current role David was Head of Training Development for the Institute, responsible for the full range of its training courses, reflecting an interest in training and development that has been present throughout his career.
